"it’s an example of why preparation is important"

on the way to my first visit to one of the only four great lakes on the island, lake Tamblingan. there’s a neat sightseeing spot just before entering the nearest village before reaching the lake area. but to backtrack a little, the weather was as bad as it could get that day, and truthfully, i never even made it to the lake. it was getting late, so i decided to head home instead since there were no road lights at all. i didn’t want to ride in complete darkness relying only on my bike’s headlight, it just wouldn’t cut it. i got my redemption arc later though where i actually get to the lake, so keep reading my notes.
